Atlanta’s Proctor Creek

Proctor Creek is located in Northwestern Atlanta, flowing from downtown to the Chattahoochee River.  The creek’s main channel is about 9 miles long, and its watershed is an area of 16 square miles.  Numerous smaller tributaries flow into Proctor Creek and form branches that connect approximately 38 neighborhoods within the watershed.  Around 52,000 people call the watershed home.

IMG_1554Numerous individuals, organizations, government agencies, and educational institutions are actively working within the Proctor Creek watershed to improve the environment and the quality of life of residents. This site highlights activities and organizations working in the watershed, general information, and resources that may be of interest to residents and watershed stakeholders.
